EyeCatcher: A Digital Camera for Capturing a Variety of Natural Looking Facial Expressions in Daily Snapshots

چکیده
This paper proposes a novel interactive technique, the Eye-Catcher, which helps photographers capture a variety of natural looking facial expressions of their subjects, by keeping the eyes of the subjects focused on the camera without the stress usually associated with being photographed. We develop a prototype system and verify the effectiveness through evaluation and discussion.

A Proposed Simple Teleradiology System Using a Digital Camera
Background & Aims: Teleradiology as an efficient way for avoiding unnecessary transfer of patients to special medical centers requires the images with digital format. However, in some developing countries, including Iran, imaging is being done using non digital devices. In such cases, changing analog images into digital ones can solve the problem. The method which is nowadays used for digita...
متن کاملFeasibility of detecting and localizing radioactive source using image processing and computational geometry algorithms
We consider the problem of finding the localization of radioactive source by using data from a digital camera. In other words, the camera could help us to detect the direction of radioactive rays radiation. Therefore, the outcome could be used to command a robot to move toward the true direction to achieve the source. The process of camera data is performed by using image processing and computa...
متن کاملThe MPI Facial Expression Database — A Validated Database of Emotional and Conversational Facial Expressions
The ability to communicate is one of the core aspects of human life. For this, we use not only verbal but also nonverbal signals of remarkable complexity. Among the latter, facial expressions belong to the most important information channels. Despite the large variety of facial expressions we use in daily life, research on facial expressions has so far mostly focused on the emotional aspect. Co...
متن کاملAutomatic Facial Expression Recognition
The face is innervated by two di↵erent brain systems that compete for control of its muscles: a cortical brain system related to voluntary and controllable behavior, and a sub-cortical system responsible for involuntary expressions. The interplay between these two systems generates a wealth of information that humans constantly use to read the emotions, intentions, and interests [25] of others....
متن کاملLightweight wrinkle synthesis for 3D facial modeling and animation
We present a lightweight non-parametric method to generate wrinkles for 3D facial modeling and animation. The key lightweight feature of the method is that it can generate plausible wrinkles using a single low-cost Kinect camera and one high quality 3D face model with details as the example. Our method works in two stages: (1) offline personalized wrinkled blendshape construction. Userspecific ...
